3-1-1 Installation Instructions

  1. Launch [AHPDFToolCmd_V80E_***_x64.exe]. (Double-click the file, etc.)
    "***" will contain the revised version name such as R1, MR1, etc.
  2. Follow the [AHPDFToolCmd_V80E_***_x64.exe] dialog to execute the installation. The default installation folder path is:

{System Drive}:\Program Files\Antenna House\AHPDFToolCmd_80

Note:
Performing a new installation places an evaluation license that is valid for 30 days after installation. The Command-line application will run as an evaluation version until the evaluation license expires or you replace it with a regular license. See the "Chapter.9 Operation Specifications on Evaluation Version" in this manual for the limitations of the evaluation version.

Overwrite installation is possible for the Windows version. When installing the maintenance version of "Antenna House PDF API", you can run the installer with the previous version remaining.

If you perform an overwrite installation, the executable binary file will be replaced with a new one after checking the date and file version. Non-executable files such as header files are checked for date and replaced with new ones. It does not replace the license file. If you need to replace the license file, replace it manually.

3-1-2 Uninstallation Instructions

  1. Open "Control Panel - Programs - Programs and Features".
  2. Select "Antenna House PDF API V8.0" in the program list.
  3. Click "Uninstall" to perform the uninstallation.

3-1-3 Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library

Antenna House PDF API V8.0 requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 runtime library to work.

When [AHPDFToolCmd_V80E_***_x64.exe] determines that the runtime library does not exist in the operating environment, [AHPDFToolCmd_V80E_***_x64.exe] automatically starts the installer of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 redistribution package.

If the redistribution package installer starts, follow the displayed dialog to install it.

3-1-5 What the Installer Sets on Your System

When the installer is executed, the following environment variables are created and their values are automatically set.

    Setting value: {installation folder}\License
  • Environment variable name: PTL80_FONT_CONFIGFILE
    Setting value: {installation folder}\fontconfig\font-config.xml
  • Environment variable name: PTL80_ICCPROFILE_PATH
    Setting value: {installation folder}\icc
  • Environment variable name: PATH
    Setting value: Add "{installation folder}\bin" (*)
